Tips to make creamy Chicken Marsala

  • You should cut chicken into halves, so the chicken will cook faster.
  • If you don’t want to add Marsala, you can use another dry wine or you can substitute with extra chicken broth. Try my chicken broth recipe or chicken stock.
  • If your sauce will become to thick add few tablespoons of extra chicken broth.
  • Add more heavy cream if you wish the sauce to be even more creamy.

Faq’s

What kind of Marsala wine is best for chicken marsala? Marsala wine has a deep flavor, you can find sweet and dry wine. I used dry version of the wine in my savory recipe but I found few other recipes that use sweet wine as well for the same dish.

What can be used instead of Marsala? You can use any other dry wine, water or any type of broth including chicken, beef or vegetable. If you use water, you might increase a little salt, season more if it’s necessary.

What to serve with Chicken Marsala

Chicken Marsala with mushrooms taste amazing with pasta, you can use any type: spaghetti, fettuccine, fussili etc. You can also serve this meal with mashed potatoes or rice. Also, this dish will taste great with other grains like barley, buckwheat or quinoa. Add some salads like Quick Dill Creamy Cucumber Salad or Corn Kale Salad and you will have a complete meal.
