Base Overnight Oats
- Milk – any milk: cow’s, plant based including oat, rice, almond, cashew, soy etc.
- Oats – regular, large flakes. Quick oats can be used as well but they will require less time in the fridge.
Overnight Oats Ratio
Specifically for this recipe the ratio of milk to oats is: 1/3 cup regular oats to 1/2 cup milk. It is not so thick, it has a nice consistency with a little extra milk. If you prefer thicker breakfast oats, you can make ratio of 1/2 cup oats and 1/2 cup milk.
How to make Overnight Oats

- Put oats in the jar, add milk, close tightly and store it in the fridge for the night.
- Before eating add your toppings: raspberries, apple, blueberries, mango, coconut flakes, spices, honey, maple syrup, peanut butter, jelly and greek yogurt.

- Cinnamon & Apple with Honey – diced apple, cinnamon, and liquid honey.
Tips to make Overnight Oats
- You can choose any milk that you like: soy, almond, rice, cow’s milk, coconut, cashew etc. Also, you can add flavored milk to your oats, for example vanilla soy milk etc.
- First make the base of oats and milk, close the jar tightly and store it overnight. The next day add your favorite toppings.
- If you don’t like some of the toppings or fruits, add other, be creative! These oats can be made in many ways. You can add some other fruits that you like.
- If your breakfast is not sweeten enough add more maple syrup or honey, according to your preferences.

Do you eat overnight oats hot or cold? They can be eaten hot or cold, if you prefer cold just add your toppings then enjoy. You can also warm oatmeal in microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute just before serving, after warming up add your fruits and sweeteners.
Do overnight oats have to be refrigerated? Yes, they need to be refrigerated since we don’t want oats + milk to be kept for several hours on the countertop.
Is 4 hours long enough for overnight oats? Yes, it should be enough, but for best results I suggest storing them overnight, more than 4 hours.
Can I use quick oats? Yes, you can! You don’t have to keep them overnight in the fridge, few hours should be enough for quick oats to absorb liquid.

- 1/2 cup mango diced
- 1 Tbsp. coconut flakes
- 2 tsp. honey

- 3 Tbsp. greek yogurt
