I just realized that I have my Grapefruit Kiwi Sorbet in my freezer. I made it long time ago but I just simply forget about it. However, I am happy that I can still enjoy it! It is refreshing, healthy and without any extra unnecessary sugars. It contains only 3 ingredients and it is definitely perfect for summer.
My one huge weakness over the summer is ice cream. I just crave it all the time, especially chocolate ones with some crunchy nuts, fresh raspberries or caramel sauce. Just lots of calories! I said to myself that after summer I need to stop with sweets. However, I know that fall will be coming and I love baking in the fall. Not to mention Christmas and holidays that I tend to eat so much over this time. Lots of yummy food around and I can’t simply stop eating….
Anyway, I think that my kiwi sorbet with grapefruit juice is the best treat over the summer that you will enjoy it. Make it ahead and enjoy it when you crave something cold and sweet. You will be glad that you didn’t indulge in the fatty and caloric treats ( I know I love them too!)….. We need to keep balance:)
Grapefruit Kiwi Sorbet
- 9 kiwis, peeled
- 1 grapefruit, squeezed
- 1 Tbsp. honey*
- Blend kiwis, squeezed grapefruit and honey in the blender.
- Place in a medium container and freeze overnight.
*Add more honey if necessary.
