Healthy Pomegranate Yogurt Pie

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you had a nice family/friends day. I love this Holiday! Soon we will be preparing delicious dishes for Christmas. I decided to make some recipes for upcoming holidays and I hope you enjoy them! This healthy pomegranate yogurt pie is low caloric and gluten free. I used oat flour for the crust instead of graham crackers like in my previous recipes, for example in this Healthy Greek Yogurt and Fruit Dessert.

This pomegranate yogurt pie is very easy to make and I think it’s perfect for Christmas. I love pomegranate, it is my new obsession; however it is difficult to take the seeds out of the shell. I found some useful youtube videos where I can follow some instructions how easily you can take pomegranate seeds. I cut the top of this fruit, then I cut the sides and I gently squeezed the shell in the bowl full of water. This is the best way that I found.
The other part I would like to tell you about this delicious healthy dessert is that I used Truwhip (whipped topping), it is similar to Cool whip but it is healthy: no high fructose corn syrup, no hydrogenated oils, gluten free and 100% natural ingredients. It can be found in organic stores. I totally love it! I use healthy ingredients whenever I can. They are more expensive. But I feel good buying them.

my mom is obsessed with pomegranates so i should seriously consider making this for her. plus it was her birthday and i still have to make her a belated bday cake (OR PIE!) hehe
Yes, it is perfect for a birthday:) Thanks Kelsey!
sometimes i am suspicious of low-calorie desserts because i worry about losing out on flavor. but this looks amazing! plus i could feed it to my kid without feeling guilty! very excited to try it.
I feel the same like you.. when it’s healthy or low caloric I think that I will not like it. I think it is hard to compare low calorie dessert to “Real” dessert… But if you like yogurt, you will definitely like this Pomegranate Yogurt Pie. I used Truwhip instead of cool whip to make it really healthy. Thank you Anna for visiting!
