A great way to start any day with refreshing mango lassi made with greek yogurt, milk and turmeric. This healthy mango smoothie requires only 5 minutes to make.

Where did mango lassi originate? This creamy yogurt based drink originated in India. There are some varieties of lassi, for instance salted or sweetened. Namkeen is prepared with yogurt and salt. Sweet lassi is made with sugar or fruit juices. Mango lassi is made with yogurt, pulp of mango and milk.

How to make Mango Lassi

Step by step how to make an easy mango lassi drink.

  1. First of all prepare ingredients: greek yogurt, ripe mango, milk, honey, turmeric and cardamon.
  2. Cut mango into cubes, add to the blender.
  3. Add the rest of ingredients and blend.

Mango Smoothie Tips

  • To make the best drink you need very ripe mango which is very sweet and soft. Also, you can use fresh fruit or frozen.
  • The honey is optional, if you want more sweetened drink, add some honey.
  • Cardamon is also optional, it is for your own preferences.
  • Instead of milk, you can use water.
  • Make sure to use powerful blender to mix all ingredients nicely. I used my ninja blender.

Mango Smoothie Faq’s

How long does mango lassi last? You can keep the drink refrigerated for up to 3 – 4 days.

How do you know when a mango is ripe? You can check if mango is ripe by squeezing. A ripe mango will be soft to touch.

Can I use sugar instead of honey? Yes, just add sugar according to your taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 mango ripe, large
  • 3/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. honey optional
  • 1/8 tsp. turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp. cardamon optional

Instructions

  • Peel and dice the mango.
  • In a blender combine: diced mango, greek yogurt, milk, honey, turmeric and cardamon. Blend all ingredients together.
