Oven Sweet Potato Wedges

  • Preheat oven to 400 F. Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Peel sweet potatoes, cut in half, then cut into wedges, you should have approximately 6-8 wedges.
    2 sweet potatoes
  • Place potato wedges on the baking sheet.
  • Add oil and melted butter, mix it.
    1 Tbsp. avocado oil, 1 Tbsp. butter
  • Season with garlic powder, dried basil and salt.
    1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder, 1/2 Tbsp. dried basil, 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes.

  • SUBSTITUTIONS: If you find yourself without dried basil, the beauty of this recipe lies in its flexibility. Substitute dried basil with other dried herbs based on your taste preferences or what you have available in your pantry. Options like parsley, dill, oregano, or a blend of these can infuse the roasted sweet potatoes with unique and delightful flavors.
  • Any kind of oil is good, I like using avocado oil or grapeseed oil. Olive oil, canola oil, or even melted coconut oil can also work well. Each oil brings its own unique flavor profile to the roasted sweet potatoes.
  • Combining melted butter and oil ensures a luxurious and well-rounded flavor. The butter adds richness, while the oil contributes to a softer texture and helps the potatoes crisp up during roasting. Then season with garlic powder, dried herb and salt.
  • Add some parmesan cheese for extra flavor if you wish, this is optional.
