Notes

They are decorated especially for Halloween but you can make them all year long. Basically omit pumpkin candies or use another color of sprinkles. Or just don’t use sprinkles and make only chocolaty flavored cookies. Make them for a birthday, after school treat, Christmas etc. Possibilities are endless.
  • I recommend using cacao powder since it will give more intense chocolate flavor.
  • Once you make a ball with the dough, flatten cookies before adding sprinkles and chocolate chunks.
  • Don’t over bake the cookies. They will be still soft once removed from oven.
  • SUBSTITUTIONS & VARIATIONS: generally cocoa powder can be used as a substitute for the cacao powder, but be aware that the flavor may vary slightly. Chocolate chips can be substituted for chocolate chunks in this recipe.
