  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/8 tsp. salt
  • In another large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
1/3 cup unsalted butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract, 1/2 tsp. apple cider vinegar, 1 egg
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  • Use an ice cream scoop to form batter into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350°F.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven, especially if they appear under-baked, to prevent them from becoming too dry.

Notes

  • Opting for unsalted butter gives you more control over the flavor of cookies. This flexibility is useful for achieving the perfect balance.
  • Take the cookies out of the oven promptly, particularly if they seem under-baked, as this step helps avoid over-drying and ensures a soft and chewy texture. Giving attention to their doneness at this stage contributes significantly to the overall quality of your freshly baked treats.
  • To make these cookies the best, I recommend using a metric scale to ensure the correct amount of grams instead of relying on the US customary measurements.
