Homemade Granola Bars {Gift Idea}
Sometimes the days are so crazy that we don’t have time to cook anything in the morning. That’s why I decided to make homemade granola bars that can last for couple days. They are healthy and packed with great ingredients like flax seeds, banana, oats and many more yummy stuff.
I am all over oats that’s why there are many oat recipes on my blog like Healthy Cocoa Honey oat Muffins or Maple Oatmeal with Walnuts & Dried Fruits. What I like most about oats is that we can make many great recipes and add different kinds of ingredients, for example walnuts, pistachios, dried fruits or any seeds.
I’m always on the look out for new and healthy ingredients that I can use in my recipes. I’m trying to choose the best ingredients and I read labels when I buy something. I have some products that I know I can trust and I always buy. However, sometimes we indulge in fatty desserts. But for me the most important part is to teach my children healthy food.
I want my children to know that meals don’t consist only pizza (that they love), chips, soda or mac and cheese. I would like to teach them what’s healthy and what’s not. For our family everything in moderation is perfect. My older son loves soda, but there are certain sodas I will not buy for him and also he has it occasionally but not everyday. But on the other hand I won’t cut it completely. He can have it in moderation.
My blog has everything… healthy, very sweet or fatty yummy recipes and many more.
But let’s get back to homemade granola bars that are so easy to make and don’t require any special skills. Just mix wet ingredients with dry ingredients and voila healthy, yummy breakfast is ready.
Do you prepare breakfast in the morning or do you eat something quick?

These look so good! I made some granola bars a few years ago and I ended up eating most of them. Now that my kids are older I should give them another shot. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Natalie! I have to check your blog… such a lovely blog name.
I’ve only made granola bars once…they were way too crumbly. I will need to give these a try. Much healthier than the purchased ones.
