Double Chocolate Chip Muffins
Delectable double chocolate chip muffins are great for birthday parties or brunch. Loaded with lots of chocolate chips.
I’ve been crazy about chocolate for unlimited number of years. If I am choosing a dessert I need to have anything with chocolate. It will definitely satisfy me. When I was a child I loved milk chocolate the most. However, now my taste buds changed and I prefer dark rich chocolate that is less sweet than milk chocolate. I’ve noticed also that my older son is following my path and chocolate is the best dessert for him. That’s why I bake lots of brownies, chocolate muffins or chocolate cheesecake cupcakes.
I made double chocolate chip muffins one day when I was tasting different recipe for Easter. I instantly thought why can’t I make double chocolate chip muffins. Therefore, I put some cacao powder into the batter and extra chocolate chips. It sounds amazing already. I know there are probably many double chocolate chip recipes on the web but mine is so simple and very rich in chocolate. As you can notice I used [easyazon_link identifier=”B00EKLPLU4″ locale=”US” tag=”ilospas-20″]cacao powder[/easyazon_link] instead of cocoa powder.
When I was growing up we used only [easyazon_link identifier=”B00EKLPLU4″ locale=”US” tag=”ilospas-20″]cacao powder[/easyazon_link] we didn’t have cocoa powder back then. You need to note that cacao powder is less processed then cocoa powder. I think it is a little more expensive but I prefer to pay a little more and have a cacao powder which I love. You can read all the differences and interesting facts between these two powders here.

These were wonderful! I used coconut oil and in place of hot water coffee for a richer chocolate taste. Thanks for the great recipe!
Oh great idea to use coconut oil!
