Farmer’s Cheese and Cranberry Appetizer
Easy farmer’s cheese and cranberry appetizer is perfect for parties! Little crostini topped with cheese, cranberry jam and orange.
While holidays are approaching we’ll spend more time with family and friends. We make lots of appetizers during this time. They are easy to make and great for parties. Today, I have an easy cranberry appetizer with farmers cheese. If you can’t find farmer’s cheese in the store you can substitute with cottage cheese. Farmer’s cheese is very common in European culture and we use in in our baked goods like cheesecakes and dinners like pierogi. I was raised eating lots of farmer’s cheese and I still buy it and I use it in my kitchen. Usually, I make crepes with farmer’s cheese and I use it to top sandwiches.
I usually buy farmer’s cheese in European store but I remember that Costco carry this kind of cheese sometimes. Therefore, it is not really hard to find.
I made my cranberry appetizer in sweet versions with Cranberry Apple Jam. It was very easy to make and it took me only 20 minutes. To sweeten my farmer’s cheese I used a little sugar but don’t use to much sugar because the Cranberry Apple Jam is already sweet. Also, I baked my crostini because I wanted them a little crispy. They came out perfect and very delicious! I made my first video and you can see all below!
