Easy to make eggless chocolate and strawberry mousse for two is perfect for elegant dinner night or Valentine’s Day. Served with cookies and two flavored layers of whipped cream.

Quick to make strawberry mousse recipe made without eggs. Creamy, soft and sweet dessert. This easy strawberry whipped cream is made with few simple ingredients. It is ready in only 15 minutes. The whole dessert looks very elegant and it is great for romantic dinner, served in a beautiful glasses. If you need more servings than 2, just double the batch. Fluffy dessert made into two layers: cacao and strawberry whipped cream.

Chocolate Strawberry Mousse Recipe

Texture: creamy, soft.
Taste: chocolaty, sweet, strawberry flavor.
Simplicity: very easy to make.
Meal Type: party food sweets, and dessert.

Dessert Ingredients

Whipping cream, cocoa, strawberries, cookies, powdered sugar.
  • Cookies – any kind of cookies can be used including biscuits, oreos, shortbread, leftover cake, brownies, donuts etc.
  • Whipping Cream – full fat heavy or whipping cream.
  • Powdered Sugar – to sweeten the cream.
  • Cacao Powder – or cocoa powder.
  • Strawberries – puree fresh strawberries before adding to the cream.

How to make Chocolate Mousse

  1. Spread cookies on the bottom of two glasses.
  2. Next, beat whipping cream with powdered sugar.
  3. Divide the whipped cream between two bowls. In one bowl add cacao powder, in the second bowl add strawberry puree. Combine whipped cream separately.
  4. Divide chocolate and strawberry mousse between two glasses.

Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Tips

  • Do not over beat the whipping cream. When you notice a soft peak stop mixing. Divide between 2 bowls evenly. Mix in cacao powder and strawberry puree separately in each bowl. Few seconds of mixing is enough, you only need to combine ingredients.
  • The whipping cream is not stiff and you don’t need piping bag for that, use just spoon to pour the mixture.
  • Additionally, you can sprinkle some leftover crumbs of cookies on top of the whipped cream and decorate with fresh strawberries.
  • You can use any type of glasses for this dessert: drinking glasses, wine, champagne or any other.

Can you make strawberry mousse with frozen strawberries?

Yes! Just thaw strawberries on the countertop, puree before adding to whipping cream.

Is chocolate pudding the same as chocolate mousse?

Pudding will become thick by cooking, while this dessert is made only with whipping cream, so no cooking is needed. Just whip the heavy cream, add the rest of ingredients.

How to make chocolate mousse recipe without eggs?

This recipe is made without eggs, just few simple ingredients to make creamy, light and fluffy dessert.

Chocolate Strawberry Mousse for Two

Chocolate strawberry mousse for two with heavy cream, strawberries and cookies.

Ingredients

  • 2 cookies large, any kind
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. cacao powder
  • 4 strawberries pureed

Instructions

  • Crush cookies and place on the bottom of the glass. Spread evenly between two glasses.

  • In a large bowl beat cold whipping cream with powdered sugar until soft peak with electric mixer.
    1 cup heavy whipping cream, 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • Divide the mousse evenly into two separate bowls.
  • For one part of the mousse: add cacao and mix until all will become smooth, for few seconds.
    1 tsp. cacao powder
  • For the second mousse: add 3 tablespoons of pureed strawberries and combine well.
    4 strawberries
  • Pour the chocolate mousse on top of the cookies. You can use the spoon.
  • Pour strawberry mousse on top of the chocolate mousse.
  • Decorate with remaining strawberry puree or cookies if you still have some.

    Love this recipe and this idea. It came out great. I would have given it 5 stars if the moose was just a little stiffer and held up to better piping. It almost wasn’t worth putting in the piping bag. However my hubby was impressed. Thanks for the recipe
